ennessee Military Federal Credit Union (formerly ETMA) officially began on McGhee Tyson Air Force Base on June 21st, 1956, by a few service members wanting to help their fellow service members. Legend has it that the credit union initially operated out of the trunk of one of the member’s cars. Over time, the membership grew and were given a brick-and-mortar location on the Air Force base for several decades. As we continued to grow, and for ease of access, we moved just outside the gate of the base onto Airbase Rd where we currently reside. It is only due to our members that we are able to celebrate this milestone of seventy years. We are beyond grateful for their trust and confidence in us.
Tennessee Military Federal Credit Union is a full-service credit union that serves National Guard members and Veterans across the entire state of Tennessee. Their families are also eligible to join through the guard member or veteran’s membership. Our mission is to serve our military community with integrity and care – offering trusted financial solutions, knowing our members by name, and treating them like family.
