Local environmental nonprofit Keep Blount Beautiful (KBB) is proud to announce that they will be hosting their DASH for TRASH, a community cleanup event, in the City of Friendsville. DASH for TRASH will be held Saturday, May 20th from 12:00PM to 1:30PM at the City of Friendsville Town Hall.
KBB encourages participants to start the summer off right by cleaning their community. DASH for TRASH is a family friendly litter FUN-run. Participants will kick off at the Town Hall and go out into the surrounding area to pick-up litter as they “run”. This event not only focuses on improving our own health but also the health of the community. Participants will be given suggested routes throughout the Downtown Friendsville areas.
Those are interested are encouraged to visit KBB’s event page on their website to sign up, or call their office at 865-681-4809.
Following the run, participants are invited to join back at the Town Hall for raffle prizes. Participants will receive free raffle tickets based on the amount of trash they collect.
Help keep our neighborhood clean while enjoying some quality time with your family, friends, and community. This event is open to everyone and KBB encourages large groups and families to come for a day spent making Blount County a little more beautiful.
This is one of the final Blount County Great American Cleanup events. The Great American Cleanup is the largest annual community improvement program in the nation, with each Keep America Beautiful affiliate working together to create community cleanup events such as this.
