Maryville, Tenn. – Blount Partnership president/CEO Bryan Daniels announced that Jessica Belitz has been hired as the Director of Events and Partnership Programs.
“We are happy to have an energetic leader like Jessica join our team,” said Daniels. “She offers new views and ideas of how to make our many programs more successful and bring the community together. She will play a key role as the Partnership develops local, state and federal legislative agendas to bring about more economic prosperity to the area.”
Belitz joins the Partnership after serving as the community outreach coordinator for the Blount Memorial Hospital Foundation since 2015. There, she coordinated the activities of the Blount County Community Health Initiative, including assembling teams that addressed substance abuse, domestic violence, mental health suicide, teen pregnancy, safety, and increased healthy nutrition and exercise.
Prior to that, she served as the Foundation’s project manager for four years after first serving the hospital for two years as a public relations manager. Belitz began her professional career as a reporter with The Daily Times in Maryville.
“I am honored to serve our community in this capacity, and to be joining such a talented and esteemed group of leaders at Blount Partnership,” Belitz said. “I have a true passion for building community collaboration and mobilization, and I am excited to apply this toward developing and securing a skilled and robust workforce in Blount County.”

The Maryville, Tenn., native graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in journalism and electronic media.
Belitz has earned numerous citations from the Tennessee Highway Safety Office, the Tennessee Society for Healthcare Marketing & PR and the Society of Professional Journalists Golden Press Awards.
