Blount Partnership Director of Economic Development Rachel Buchanan has been elected to serve on the 2017 Tennessee Economic Partnership Board of Directors.
Joining the Blount Partnership in 2014, Buchanan previously served as the vice president of business development at the Massey Group, a release said. As a member of the Leadership Blount class of 2013, Buchanan helped to establish Blount County’s Youth Court and the Blount Young Leadership and Development program for young professionals.
Through strategically planned networking events, Buchanan will work alongside other members of the board to form meaningful relationships with Tennessee businesses, the release said.
The Tennessee Economic Partnership is a public-private program of the state, the Tennessee Valley Authority and Tennessee’s economic development community.
