Child Abuse Prevention Month

Get involved in the month of April!

There are so many wonderful opportunities in the month of April to honor Child Abuse Prevention Month and help make a difference in the lives of Blount County Children. New Hope is working towards their goal of educating 4,900 adults on child sexual abuse prevention using the Stewards of Children seminar. We currently have trained 2,100 adults. Help us continue to spread the word.

On April 2nd from 5-8 pm at Foothills Mall in front of Carmike Cinemas we will be kicking off the month with a Pinwheels for Prevention Family Fair. The fair will include CPR/AED training provided by Rural Metro, Blount County Sheriff’s Office fingerprint kits, a bike safety demonstration, and much more.

Please spread the word about the Family Fair as well as the other events planned in the month of April.  We are looking forward to seeing you all!
