Maryville, Tenn. — Blount County Habitat for Humanity is excited to announce our second Community Business Build. The build will be a collaborative effort between 10 of Blount County’s top companies and organizations. We are proud to reveal that these businesses include: Newell Rubbermaid, Clayton Homes, Boatmate Trailers LLC, LeConte Realty LLC, Regions Bank, Advanced Catalyst Systems, Lattimore Black Morgan & Cain, PC, Alcoa Inc., Maryville-Alcoa Rotary Club and William Blount Interact Club.
The build kicks-off on September 23 with a “Walls-Up” build day at the site location at 9 a.m. and will be on opportunity for the sponsoring businesses to meet the partner family, Dara Peacock and hear about her journey.
Two representatives from each business will build and lift the exterior walls of the home later that morning.
The 10-12 week build allows each company the opportunity have three exclusive volunteer days at both the constructions site and at our ReStore.
Throughout the course of the day, the companies will have the opportunity to strengthen relationships as they work together in a collaborative environment that invites them to problem solve and communicate in new ways. Ultimately this experience has greater meaning than traditional team building activities because at the end of the day, the company can walk away knowing they have helped to improve the life of a family in need in Blount County.
