Townsend, Tenn. – The Heritage Center Guild’s annual Fall Mountain Homes Tour will feature a special lunch by well-known Chef Nathan Wells of Nashville. Wells is being brought to Townsend especially for the tour and will prepare lunch for ticket holders.
Chef Nathan Wells began his training at The Greenbrier Hotel and Resort in White Sulphur Springs, WV. From there he continued his training in Nashville at Nick and Rudy’s Steakhouse before applying to the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) in NY. As part of his education, Nathan was accepted as an intern at The French Laundry in Yountville, CA and also spent time at Bouchon just down the street in Napa Valley. Upon returning to NY and graduating from the CIA, Nathan moved to Steamboat Springs, CO and worked at Cafe Diva and Saketumi. While in Steamboat, Nathan received a job offer from an old Greenbrier friend/chef to open Eastland Cafe in East Nashville. Nathan served as the opening sous chef at Eastland Café, which won best new restaurant. Nathan owns his private chef business, consults with area restaurants, conducts cooking lessons and works daily at James Beard nominated Lockeland Table in East Nashville.

Tickets are now on sale for the tour set for Friday, October 18, a benefit by the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center Guild to fund the Center’s educational programs. Tickets are $50 each and must be paid for when they are ordered. One ticket includes tours of the three homes, transportation to and from the starting point (Laurel Valley Restaurant), lunch by Nathan Wells at Laurel Valley Restaurant, and free admission to the Heritage Center within one year of the tour.
