Alcoa, Tenn. — Mary Beth West Communications,LLC, a public relations and communications firm based in Alcoa, Tenn., announced the addition of two new employees to the team, Cureton Gannon and Jamie Stooksbury.
Cureton Gannon will take the position of account service coordinator. Gannon will assist in the local, regional and national media relations campaigns for the firm’s clients. Gannon graduated from the University of Tennessee with honors, where she earned her bachelor’s in public relations, with business and Spanish minors.
Prior to joining the firm, Gannon held two internship positions at the Tennessee Fund and Mary Beth West Communcations. She worked as a leasing consultant at Quarry Trail Apartments in Knoxville, Tenn., during her time as a student as well. In addition to Gannon’s work experience, sheserved as vice president of marketing and advertising for a non-profit organization that she helped found in 2011.
Also a recent graduate in advertising from the University of Tennessee, Jamie Stooksbury will be joining the team as the interactive coordinator. Stooksbury will be responsible for online and social media content coordination for the firm’s clients.
Stooksbury comes to Mary Beth West Communications with experience as a marketing coordinator for Diverse Concepts, LLC., as well as assistant editor for Melton Hill Lake Living magazine in Oak Ridge. Before joining the firm full-time, Stooksbury came aboard as an intern as well during spring 2013.
