On June 15, 2013, The Clayton Center for the Arts in Maryville, Tennessee will celebrate by hosting an event devoted to honoring a healthy mind, body, and spirit in the community. This FREE event is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

The Clayton Center and Independent Insurance Consultants and are partnering to give back to the community through an exciting day filled with activities, food and fun. There are numerous activities suited for all ages including swing dancing, artists, dance exhibitions, zumba and jazzercise. The Clayton Center plaza will be utilized to provide entertaining activities for kids, including a bounce house, face painting and The MUSE, an interactive children’s museum integrating science and art. Ensemble Swing Time, a Clayton Center favorite, will play from 1pm to 3pm. The Celebration Expo expects to have 50+ vendor booths that will include everything from free health screens to free food samples; skin care, art and a large variety of businesses will participate.  A current list can be found on the Clayton Center website at www.claytonartscenter.com Independent Insurance Consultants is partnered to promote the overall wellness of the community, regardless of age.

Independent Insurance Consultants and The Clayton Center have high hopes for the expo. “Giving back to community is a top priority for us,” says Cheri Compton, Director of Marketing at The Clayton Center, “and we believe this event will encourage healthy living throughout East Tennessee, while also focusing on a healthy spirit which includes the arts. Part of our mission is to be the gathering place for the community and that is what we want for this Expo.” Marketing Manager of Independent Insurance Consultants, Kim Olen, agrees, “Aside from insurance, our business’ mission is to promote a sound mind, body, and spirit overall, and to benefit others through free awareness like this event.” 

“We are thrilled that Blount County Community Health Initiative is sponsoring the event”, says Compton. This is one of the many ways that Blount Memorial Hospital contributes to the community. 

Vendors interested in participating can reserve a booth by online or by downloading the vendor application. The number of vendor spaces is limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Please plan to attend this free event, as door prizes will be drawn each hour.
