Maryville, Tenn. — The Blount Partnership, in conjunction with Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson, is proud to announce that the Circle the Smokies mobile app is now available for a free download on iTunes.
The Circle the Smokies app includes seven road maps for driving enthusiasts, motorcyclists or anyone looking for exciting adventures on scenic highways and byways in the Smoky Mountains.
The app can be utilized by tourists and locals as they travel from Townsend, Tenn., to Clingman’s Dome to Cherokee, N.C.; the Blue Ridge Parkway, Townsend to Gatlinburg to Pigeon Forge, Townsend to Cades Cove, the Cherohala Skyway, the Foothills Parkway and the infamous Dragon.
A video narrative also encompasses each map explaining about the roadway during these day trips.
“The Circle the Smokies app is a must for anyone traveling around this area looking for great scenic views of the Smoky Mountains,” said Tami Vater, Blount Partnership Director of Tourism.
Earlier this month, the Partnership unveiled the first-ever “Peaceful Side of the Smokies” tourism app which has a full listing of Blount County’s lodging, dining, attractions and outdoor activities as well as an events calendar. It can also be downloaded for free at iTunes.
