MOLINE, Ill. — Terry Turner, CERP (Certified Event Rental Professional), and president of All Occasions Party Rentals in Knoxville, Tenn., has been elected 53rd president of the board of directors for the American Rental Association (ARA), an international trade association serving the equipment rental industry. He assumed the office of president at the conclusion of The Rental Show 2015, ARA’s annual trade show and convention, in New Orleans, La.

As president, Turner will assume a key role as an officer and lead ARA’s Executive Committee. He brings years of experience in the party and special event market of the equipment rental industry, and has also worked in general tool and construction rental.

As ARA president, he leads a board of directors, which consists of 19 members who are rental business owners and/or manufacturers/suppliers to the rental industry. Turner will guide this group of industry leaders to continue ARA’s mission of promoting the success of members and advancing the growth of the equipment rental industry.

Turner has been an active ARA member with his most recent service as President-Elect of the ARA Board of Directors and Chairman of the Party and Event Services Shared Interest Group. He also has served on the Executive Committee, the Events & Tents Task Force, the Construction & Industrial Shared Interest Group, Government Affairs Committee and the Education Committee. Turner served on the ARA Foundation Board of Trustees and has attended the ARA National Legislative Caucus and is an active member and supporter of ARA’s Political Action Committee (ARAPAC).

In addition, Turner has been a member of the ARA of Tennessee board of directors and served as its legislative chairperson.
