Making the call. That’s what brought community members together for fun and excitement as the Blount County Chamber’s member event kicked off with 105 new members joining or upgrading memberships.

With the help of facilitator Jimmy Cusano from Your Chamber Connection, nearly 160 individuals and community leaders united at Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee to call their business counterparts to pass along the great things the chamber is doing and recruit companies doing business in Blount County to join the chamber.

“The enthusiasm and energy in the room was tremendous,” said Bryan Daniels, Blount Partnership president/CEO. “Seeing all these community stakeholders come together for one purpose was outstanding. They came with a sense of purpose to make sure we continue to grow through the economic strength of the companies that do business in Blount County.”

Not only is the chamber the voice of business, but it takes on issues important to companies while offering opportunities to help people make connections they otherwise could not.

The event continues Wednesday at 8:28 a.m. and culminates in a wrap-up party Thursday at 5:27 p.m. where the final membership totals will be revealed.
