Maryville, Tenn. – The Blount County Chamber of Commerce announced that a record 28 Blount County small businesses elected to participate in the eighth annual Small Business Saturday on November 25 to support independent businesses.  

 

Participants include Blount County Eye Center, Boyd Thomas Clothing, Brackins Blues Club, Bristol & Bragg Jewelers, Cades Cove Cellars, CAM Cabin Crafts, Clear’s Silat, Street Kung Fu & Tai Chi, Cycology Bicycles, Dandy Lions, Express Strategy Services, Flower Shop, Inc., Glenstone Galleries, Great Smoky Mountains Association at Townsend Visitor Center, Hwy 411 South Antiques, Jeepism, Little River Trading Company, Little River Trading Company ‘Lifestyle’, Louisville Mercantile, Lowe’s Drug, Profile by Sanford, Ritchie Tractor, Roost Home, Rustic Impulse Salon and Boutique, The Artistic Bean of Maryville, The Village Tinker, Treasures Jewelers, Twisted Sisters Quilt Shop.

 

Additionally, the Downtown Maryville Association is hosting a holiday craft market with more than 20 area crafters lining Broadway Ave.

 

Founded by in American Express in 2010, Small Business Saturday® is a day to celebrate the small businesses that help support your neighborhood and is held every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Now in its seventh year, Small Business Saturday has been embraced as part of the holiday shopping tradition as each year shoppers, businesses and public officials come together to Shop Small® and show their neighborhood pride. Last year an estimated $15.1 Billion was spent at a small business on Small Business Saturday.
