The BCEF Board of Directors hired a part-time summer intern to assist the organization with their mission to enhance excellence in education for children of the Blount County School system. McKenzie Sherman is a recent graduate of the University of Tennessee where she received a B.S. in Journalism and Electronic Media. Sherman is the head softball coach at Eagleton Middle School and assistant coach at Heritage High School. Over the summer Sherman will focus on fundraising, sponsorships and event planning for the Blount County Education Foundation.
