Continuing a tradition launched following the celebration of its 150th anniversary in 2014, First Tennessee once again celebrated its employees’ year-round volunteer service on March 25, the company’s 153rd anniversary, dubbed “March of Service”.

First Tennessee’s legacy of commitment to the communities it serves is stronger than ever.

During 2016, First Tennessee’s employees logged more than 23,000 hours of volunteer service at charitable and civic organizations, and participated in more than 4,700 unique volunteer events. The value of employee service exceeded $541,000. First Tennessee employees also served as board members of more than 130 nonprofit organizations.

In the Knoxville/Maryville market, more than 100 employees provided nearly 5,000 hours of volunteer service during 2016, generating a community impact of $120,000.

Since 1864 First Tennessee has been committed to the customers and communities it serves by providing financial services and solutions, and demonstrating that commitment through community investment. And while First Tennessee highlights its volunteer spirit every March, the company’s community investment is ongoing.
