The Foothills Community Players is proud to announce the addition of Dana Harbison Wham to their 2013 Board of Directors.  Her new role as Artistic Director will be guiding the artistic development and play choices for the group each season.   Her vast experience in theatre adds a new level of excitement and infusion of new energy to the 2013 season.”    

Ms. Wham is a local actress, singer, choreographer and director who has held leading roles in over 75 musicals and directed or choreographed for organizations such as The Knoxville Opera Company, Clarence Brown Theatre, Theatre Knoxville, Maryville College and Oak Ridge Playhouse just to name a few.

Dana has also directed and choreographed for numerous children’s theatre groups and high schools.  She is the former artistic director for The Knoxville Performing Arts Institute where in addition to directing annual show choirs, she ran the summer musical theatre program in which nearly 1,000 young people participated.

The Players’ second show in the 2012 season line up is Noel Coward’s hilarious “Hayfever”, being performed at the Haslam Family Flexible Theater in the Clayton Center for the Arts.  Show dates are Feb 21-24, with a special opening night flat rate of $10.   Ticket information is available at www.foothillscommunityplayers.com.   Newly installed Artistic Director, Ms. Wham said, “I hope to see many, many new faces in the audience for this performance, in addition to our usual wonderful patrons.  It promises to be an outstanding performance, kicking off an incredible New Year of theatrical entertainment.”
