Johnson Architecture, Inc. (JAI) is pleased to welcome several new members to its team:

Celeste Coward re-joins the JAI team as a Senior Interior Designer after spending several years in the design department at Ruby Tuesday, Inc. Celeste has spent most of her 30-year career on the production and management side of architecture and brings a wealth of knowledge in specialties such as restaurant and kitchen design, commercial and retail design.

Karen Williamson joins Johnson Architecture as Director of Business Development. Karen has a Masters of Architecture from The University of Tennessee as well as a Bachelor of Arts. Prior to making the transition to business development, she served in the role of Project Manager for several projects such as the Sevier County Main Branch King Family Library, Webb School of Knoxville Clayton Science Center and International Center.

Ester Schwartz joins the firm as a Project Designer. Ester is a LEED Accredited Professional, with a Master of Architecture from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, a Master of City and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a 5-year bachelor of Architecture and Urbanism from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Before joining Johnson Architecture, Ester worked for eight years as an architect, planner and interior designer in the US and abroad. At JAI, she’s working on projects such as the KCDC Five Points Master Plan, the Knoxville Zoo new Tiger Exhibit, and renovations of the First Presbyterian Church.

Canuto DeLeon joins the firm as an Intern Architect. Canuto graduated in the Spring of 2013 from the University of Texas at San Antonio and brings 10 years of experience in the construction industry to the firm. He has been the intern architect on projects such as In10sity Knoxville, West Hills Baptist Church master planning, and various residential projects.
