This coming Tuesday, December 20th, 2016 Moe’s Southwest Grill of Alcoa, Cumberland Avenue and Northshore Drive will be hosting a Gatlinburg Percentage Day. Moe’s will be donating 10% of all sales for the entire day. Three locations will be participating in this event: 254 Hamilton Crossing Alcoa, 1800 Cumberland Ave. Knoxville, and 9450 S. Northshore Dr. Knoxville. Each store has a donation box set up at the register where customers can make additional monetary donations for the entire month of December.
While all three stores are participating, Blount County Fire Department will have a truck parked at the entrance of Moe’s Alcoa with the American flag extended over the truck from 11am – 2pm. In addition to the truck, Maryville City Fire Department and Blount County Fire Department have each provided a pair of firefighter boots to Moe’s Alcoa. One pair will be used to collect donations at the register and the second will be for children to try on and take pictures. In addition to the event and collecting monetary donations, Moe’s Alcoa also has collection boxes set up at the entrance for any items you would like to donate to the families. Throughout the day firefighters will also be dropping by each location for meet and greets. This will be a great time for the community to express their appreciation and thanks to those who have worked so tirelessly to fight the forest fires both in Walland and Gatlinburg. Support decals and spirit headbands may also be sold at Moe’s Alcoa to help raise additional funds.
Moe’s is excited to announce that we have already raised over $700 in monetary donations between all three stores in the last 16 days. This is just the beginning of what will be added to the donation amount raised on Tuesday. With the help of the Community, we are confident that we will be able to raise a substantial amount of money for the families and the restoration of the Smokies. All money raised will go directly to local churches to help fund their efforts.
