The 6th Annual Mudder’s Day Madness 5K Mud Run at Montvale is set for May 12, 2018 and is limited to 1000 total participants with spots filling quickly.
This year’s event features youth pricing, new trails, more mud, new obstacles, family friendly activities, and food trucks. The course is a challenging 5K course with many hills and obstacles along the way, as well as rocky, slippery, uneven terrain throughout but is suitable for all fitness levels. Participants can run as individuals or as part of a team. The events will have two waves with the first starting at 10 am and the second at 10:20 am. Waves will include individual competitors and teams. All teams must cross the finish line together.
Cost is $35 through April 22 then $45 through May 6. Cost is $25 for youth 17 and under until April 22 and then $30 through May 6. No online registration after May 6. Race day registration will be available only if spots are available and cost is $45 for everyone. Teams are not allowed to register or make changes on race day.
All event proceeds benefit Harmony Family Center and their service to children through foster care, adoption, and post adoption counseling and programs.

Harmony Family Center continues to adapt the former YMCA Camp Montvale for use as the Harmony Family Center at Montvale. Located eight miles from Maryville, TN, Montvale is nestled at the foot of Chilhowee Mountain adjoining Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Montvale’s 364 acres lend themselves to a broad range of use. Therapeutic programs began with the Barn – Harmony’s program of equine assisted psychotherapy.
