ALCOA, Tenn. – Hickory Construction, a commercial and residential building firm headquartered in Alcoa, recently announced the addition of seven workers to its employee base. The new additions serve in a variety of roles for the company, which has operated in East Tennessee for nearly 40 years.
Project Manager Susan Davis comes to Hickory from Knoxville’s Public Building Authority, where she most recently served as interim director for property development. In that role, Davis was responsible for directing client relations, overseeing project management tasks and establishing budgets. Davis has 15 years of experience in all phases of design and construction.
Project Manager Clayton Carrubba possesses a deep skill set that includes business operations, construction management, land survey and manufacturing. He joins Hickory after a successful tenure at Starkville, Mississippi-based Camgian Microsystems, where he performed contract work on behalf of Lockheed Martin at NASA’s Stennis Space Center.
Foreman Tom Burkett has worked as a builder for nearly two decades. He brings deep experience as a foreman, superintendent and subcontractor. Burkett helped oversee several noteworthy projects, including the Hunters Crossing strip mall in Maryville, Cedar Bluff Elementary School and the conversion of the Blount County Public Library into the Blount County Health Department.
Foreman Jim Wardley brings to Hickory extensive experience in operations and manufacturing management. A former president of the Home Builders Association of Greater Knoxville, Wardley also possesses a real estate license, and earned honors as an affiliate broker at Weichert Realtors.
Foreman James Dotson has been employed as a lead carpenter for more than a decade and has over 20 years of construction and remodeling experience. He joins Hickory after spending 14 years at a firm in Dandridge.
Receptionist Ashley Branch comes to Hickory with experience as a behavioral health technician, retail manager and administrative professional. Her diverse background has prepared her well for a role with Hickory.
Estimator Ryan Eaton has 13 years of professional experience, including work as a sales associate, event planner and construction manager. He most recently served as an estimator at Coreslab Structures, an Orlando, Florida firm.
