Bridging the best of a community is the idea behind the inaugural Long Table Community Dinner featuring four local chefs preparing seasonal dishes in a four-course meal with wine service. Presented by the Blount Partnership, the dinner takes place on the Maryville Greenway – Library Bridge on Oct. 13 from 5:30-8 p.m. Tickets for the 21-and-over event are $150 and can be purchased online only at www.blountchamber.com/longtable.

The chefs include RT Lodge’s Trevor Stockton, Dancing Bear Lodge’s Jeff Carter, Walnut Kitchen’s Billy Krebs and DSB Provisions and Blackberry Farm’s Dustin Busby. Each chef is tasked with preparing one course in addition to hors d’oeuvres to be served during cocktail hour. Details on the complete menu are being finalized.

“The concept behind this outdoor community dinner is bridging the links between Maryville College, downtown Maryville and Alcoa-Maryville greenway,” said Blount Partnership Communications Director Jeff Muir. “It also sheds light on the many amenities in the downtown area and highlights some of the finest cuisine that is being served locally. ”

Additionally, a portion of the proceeds from the event support the Blount County Young Professionals. Humble Bob and Engineers provide live music.

Presenting sponsors include Salubrious Farms, Always Abounding Media, Tom Hatcher Charity, Visual Voice, Jackie S.
