Maryville, Tenn. — Mary Beth West Communications, LLC, a Blount County-based public relations and digital communications firm, received multiple honors for its client work conducted in 2013, at the annual awards dinner of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Volunteer Chapter on May 8.
Among the firm’s award-winning client work were communications projects and campaigns for Plan East Tennessee (PlanET) – which received a top “Award of Excellence” honor; Alcoa Tennessee Operations; the Smoky Mountain Tourism Development Authority; Girl Scout Council of the Southern Appalachians; Hickory Construction and H.T. Hackney. The firm also received recognitions for its mobile app development for two clients, Knoxville-based M.S. McClellan and Neighborhood Barre.
The firm’s own campaign in 2013 to rebrand and rebuild Mary Beth West Communications following a September 2012 fire that destroyed the firm’s offices and infrastructure was also honored. In 2013, Mary Beth West Communications achieved more than eight times the national industry average for public relations agency growth.
