John McCulley, a website developer and design professional, has joined Moxley Carmichael as digital media manager.

McCulley joins Moxley Carmichael at a time when the firm’s website development business is booming.

“We continue to see an influx of clients coming to us in search of effective and creative websites and digital marketing strategies that strengthen their brand and bolster their online presence,” said Moxley Carmichael CEO Cynthia Moxley. “In hiring John as digital media manager, we added someone who could hit the ground running and provide effective service for our many clients in this burgeoning market.”

McCulley most recently served as senior web developer with Pilot Flying J and also served in that capacity for Appalachian Underwriters Inc. (AUI), a national wholesale brokerage outlet for insurance agents. McCulley completely rebuilt AUI’s website and established its social media presence.

McCulley, whose love of art and technology dates back to his childhood, first started developing websites at the age of 12. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Web Design and Development from ITT Technical Institute. The designer says that working at Moxley Carmichael has been his dream since graduation.

The longtime Karns resident and his wife, Crystal, are parents to two sons and a daughter. They are active members of Piney Grove Baptist Church, where McCulley serves as connections minister.

Examples of recent websites designed by Moxley Carmichael include Knoxville Convention Center, Gastrointestinal Associates, Lewis Thomason, Priority Ambulance and Kingsport Aquatic Center.
