Harmony Family Center utilizes Montvale to help families and children. All food, beverages, and music have been donated for the event so every entry fee and purchase will go directly to restoring Montvale. This year, organizers are using the hashtag #mudmatters to promote and celebrate this annual fundraiser for Harmony Family Center.
“We are very excited about this year’s event,” said Pam Wolf, Founder and CEO for Harmony Family Center. “Each year, the mud run has grown and this has truly become a staple fundraiser for Harmony and allows us to reach our mission goals throughout the year.”
Harmony Family Center is in the process of adapting the former YMCA Camp Montvale for use as the Harmony Family Center at Montvale. Located eight miles from Maryville, TN, Montvale is nestled at the foot of Chilhowee Mountain adjoining Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Montvale’s 364 acres lend themselves to a broad range of use. Therapeutic programs began with the Barn – Harmony’s program of equine assisted psychotherapy. This summer, Harmony held the first therapeutic family camps for families of children adopted from foster care.
