Rural/Metro announces the addition of Travis Brickey as the market development director of its East Tennessee operations.

Brickey joins Rural/Metro with more than 15 years of experience in a diverse range of business categories. As the former assistant director of marketing operations at the University of Tennessee Medical Center, Brickey has extensive background in internal and external communication strategy and execution of marketing tactics within the health care industry.

Committed to his community, Brickey served on the UT Medical Center’s Cancer institute Steering Committee, Brain & Spine Institute Steering Committee and Heart Lunch Vascular Institute Steering Committee for the last nine years. He also has been a member of the American Marketing Association-Knoxville Chapter, American Heart Association Heart Walk Fund Raising Committee and United Way of Greater Knoxville-Communications Committee.

Brickey received his undergraduate degree in communications from the University of Tennessee, with a major in advertising and minor in marketing. He recently earned his Master of Business Administration, with a marketing specialization from King University.
