South College recently named Brad Adams as chief financial officer and Vickie Price as controller.
“We’re excited about the experience Brad and Vickie bring to our staff,” said Steve South, president of South College. “They both have strong financial backgrounds that will keep our college on the path to success.”
Prior to joining South College in April, Adams worked at TVA for five years in several finance and controller management roles. He also served as the corporate controller for Jewelry Television for two years and worked for five years at PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers) as an auditor.
“I’m looking forward to handling new challenges,” Adams said. “South College has a firm foundation, and my department will continue to build on that tradition.”
Adams graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in business administration in 2000 and with a master’s degree in accountancy in 2002. He is a licensed certified public accountant (CPA), certified internal auditor (CIA) and project management professional (PMP). He is married to Misha Adams and has two children, Hayden and Emery.
Before coming to South College, Price worked as an accounting manager for St. Mary’s and Mercy hospitals for 15 years. She was also a controller at a local physician practice for two years.
“I look forward to coming to work every day at South College,” Price said. “It is exciting to work for an organization that is changing lives through education every day.” She graduated from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science in accounting in 1988. She has one son, Nicholas, who is a junior at Christian Academy of Knoxville.
