What goes on at Rocky Top Finance?We help the community in their lending needs. I have 23 years experience in the consumer finance business working for a large chain. I have gone out on my own to make a future for my children.

 

How did you get started?Twenty-three years ago I went to work in a finance office and loved the aspect of meeting the financial needs of the community.

 

What is your background?I worked with large chain for 23 years at entry level and worked my way up to district manager over Tennessee.

Describe your customers.Blue collar, pay check to pay check, and fixed income customers

 

What impacts your business?CFPB, and the State governs our business. Referrals in the community is the largest impact for us.

 

Name three things you wish you knew when you started.I wish I would have known, “you can get more with sugar than vinegar.” Collections are tough, but it is easier when you keep the above in mind. Solving problems and helping people thru difficult financial times.

 

What do you enjoy about your business?Meeting the lending needs of the community. Helping people thru financial hardships.
