BigWheel Events is proud to announce that the Marcus King Band, sponsored by Barley’s and Blank Newspaper, will play at the Drive-In Concert Series in the Smokies Stadium parking lot on September 12, 2020. Led by 24-year-old Marcus King, the Marcus King Band is firmly rooted in the proud tradition of American rock and soul music.

“We’re really excited to bring the Marcus King Band to the Food City Stage,” said Parker Frost, president of BigWheel. “Live music is back in a safe, socially-distanced setting. It’s going to be an unforgettable night for live music. ”

The Drive-In Concert Series also has an amazing lineup for Labor Day Weekend, complete with fireworks after every show.

On Friday, September 4, the Dave Matthews Tribute Band — the only touring band authorized to use Dave Matthews’ name — will take the stage, and School of Rock will open the show.

On Saturday, September 5, Knoxville’s singer/songwriter Scott Miller sings and tells great stories with his friend RB Morris.

We’ll close the holiday weekend with a jam band double bill: the Allman Brothers cover band, the End of the Line Band, and Atlanta-based Frankly Scarlet playing the music of the Grateful Dead.
