Townsend, Tenn. – Tickets are now on sale for the third Fall Mountain Homes Tour set for Friday, October 18, a benefit by the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center Guild to fund the Center’s educational programs.

The event will feature public tours of three private mountain homes in Laurel Valley –- the homes of Mike and Evelyn Bryant; Kevin and Raja O’Brien; and Jim and Catherine Wike — each unique in its own way. One of the homes features landscape and interior art created by the owner, another has a broad assortment of antiques including a bar out of an Irish pub, and the third backs up to Cades Cove which is both visible and accessible, via a hiking trail, from the home property.

Kathy Dittmaier and Mary Ann Everett, both of Townsend, are chairpersons for the event.

“We are delighted to be showing three gorgeous homes that are both artistic and eclectic, and one of them has a million dollar view,” Co-Chair Kathy Dittmaier said this week, “We appreciate the continuing support of our sponsors to make this very special event possible.”

Sponsors for the event include Trillium Cove Home & Garden; Realty III, Inc.; Century 21; McDougall Brothers Construction; Anderson Lumber; Blount Partnership; Dogwood Cabins @ Trillium Cove; Laurel Valley Resort; and Parkside Realty Services.

Tickets are $50 each and must be paid for when they are ordered. One ticket includes tours of the three homes, transportation to and from the starting point (Laurel Valley Restaurant), lunch that day at Laurel Valley Restaurant, and free admission to the Heritage Center within one year of the tour.

Ticket buyers are asked to dress for late autumn weather in the mountains and wear comfortable walking shoes (no heels). No inside photos may be taken, and no pets, coolers or smoking are permitted inside the homes.
