Ready to escape the winter blues on a nice vacation? Spring break is around the corner and while everyone looks forward to vacation, the planning can be stressful. Smartphones and tablets can make travel planning easier. In a recent U.S. Cellular study, 48 percent of smartphone owners used their device to look up destination reviews and prices, and 36 percent use their device to book hotel reservations.
To show how wireless devices can help with travel planning, U.S. Cellular is hosting a free Device Workshop in Alcoa so you can enjoy both the planning and vacation. The workshop is open to everyone, and you don’t need to be a U.S. Cellular customer to attend.
“With the right device, apps and national network, you have the flexibility to plan for your trip wherever you are and also stay connected while enjoying your time away,” said Nathan Waddell, director of sales for U.S. Cellular in Tennessee.
The free Device Workshop is being held at the Alcoa U.S. Cellular store at 717 Louisville Road on Saturday, March 19, at 10 a.m. U.S. Cellular associates will be on hand to show attendees how to use the features on their device and explain the many advantages smartphones have to offer.
