Maryville, Tenn. — The Blount Partnership is proud to announce that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce today named Vienna Coffee House a Blue Ribbon Small Business Award winner. The annual program recognizes companies for their dedication to the principles of free enterprise and contributions to restoring jobs and supporting economic growth. Vienna Coffee was selected from a record number of applicants across the nation for demonstrating exceptional business practices in areas including strategic planning, employee development, community involvement, and customer service.
“We are thrilled to be recognized by the US Chamber of Commerce as one of only 100 Blue Ribbon Small Businesses, especially in light of our recent move downtown,” said John Clark, owner Vienna Coffee House. “Recognition on a national level like this can only be good for business and we’re humbled by the selection. We appreciate the support of the Blount Partnership who made our nomination as well as the way the entire community has embraced us. Hopefully we can continue to earn this support and achieve our goal to ‘Delight the Customer’ with every interaction.”
The Chamber will announce seven regional finalists on March 19 and honor all of this year’s Blue Ribbon Small Business Award winners at the 10th annual America’s Small Business Summit, taking place June 11 – 13 in Washington, D.C. During the summit, one regional finalist will receive the DREAM BIG Small Business of the Year Award, sponsored by Sam’s Club®, and a $10,000 cash prize courtesy of the U.S. Chamber.
As a Blue Ribbon Award Winner, Vienna Coffee House is automatically entered into the running for the Community Excellence Award. The award is designed to highlight a business that has found success in the eyes of its community and is awarded based on public voting. Customers and friends are encouraged to vote until midnight Feb. 28 at the following link https://dreambigaward.wufoo.com/forms/2014-community-excellence-award/
“As the business community has worked hard to do its part in moving the country forward economically, small businesses have continued to be the driving force responsible for much of our progress,” U.S. Chamber President and CEO Thomas J. Donohue said. “Our Blue Ribbon Award winners are the best of the best—growing and succeeding despite significant challenges.”
Vienna Coffee won the Best Beverage at the Blount Partnership’s 12th Annual Taste of Blount in Sept. 2013.
“This is a great honor for a Chamber member to receive,” said Bryan Daniels, Blount Partnership president/CEO. “John Clark and his staff have worked extremely hard to build this business and it’s truly a pleasure to have Vienna Coffee House thriving in this community.”
