Townsend, Tennessee – Bob Patterson, Executive Director announced today that the Tuckaleechee Garden Club has completed decorating the Cardwell House that is located in the Historic Village of the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center. ” The Heritage Center is a beautiful place to visit any time of the year but it is especially beautiful when it is decorated for the Holiday Season” claimed Bob Patterson, Executive Director of the Heritage Center. “All of the decorations are either handmade or are natural trimmings representative of the late 1800’s” said Linda Lee, President of the 30 year old Tuckaleechee Garden Club.

Dancing Bear Lodge & Restaurant suffered extensive damage today (Nov. 14) to its main lodge as part of a fire. We are grateful that there were no injuries to either guests or staff and can report that there were no guests in the lodge at the time of the fire.
